Provided abstract: This presentation puts forward an account for restrictions observable for sentences containing generically interpreted impersonal pronouns. The main upshot is that the generic operator Gen involved in the generic interpretation of these pronouns needs to be licensed by overt material that can serve as the restrictor of Gen, which (at least) dedicated impersonal pronouns cannot provide themselves. In addition, a new argument is presented in favor of an additional habitual operator Hab. --------------------------------------------- ## Additional Notes Links: - https://sites.google.com/view/wccfl2021/ This presentation is part of the 2021 West Coast Conference on Formal Linguistics collection, which is available here: https://doi.org/10.25422/azu.data.c.5325401
