# Geomorphological Facies Map for the 2014–2015 Holuhraun Lava Flow-Field in Iceland

## Summary

The materials uploaded here contain the geodatabase (gdb), layer files for the
features classes, and a readme file for an ArcGIS-based geomorphological
(i.e., facies) map of the 2014–2015 Holuhraun Lava Flow-Field. The gdb
includes the feature classes shown in the facies map by Voigt et al. (2021),
which was digitized at 1:800-scale using a basemap of Loftmyndir and UltraCam-
Xp orthomosaics (see methods section in Voigt et al. (2021)). The gdb contains
the following feature classes: (1) facies as polygons, (2) contact types as
line features, and (3) overlays as polygons, line features, and point
features.

## Files and Folders

- Facies_contact_1_800_map.gdb: geodatabase including: (1) facies as polygons, (2) contact types as line features, and (3) overlays as polygons, polylines, and point features. The map utilizes the Islands Net (ISN2004), which is a modified transverse Mercator coordinate system, which uses International Terrestrial Reference Frame (ITRF) 2000, epoch 2004.6, and a Lambert conic conformal projection.
- Layer files (*.lyr): The material include layer files for all feature classes in the gdb. To get the same color pattern for the feature classes code as shown in Voigt et al., please load the layer files into ArcGIS.
- README.txt: Description of the material uploaded to the University of Arizona's Data repository.

- Esri ArcGIS/version 10.5–10.7. To open the geodatabase the Esri ArcGIS software is necessary.
