<div><div>This talk was presented on 2021 April 8 - 11 at the <a href="https://sites.google.com/view/wccfl2021/">39th meeting of the West Coast Conference on Formal Linguistics</a>.</div><div><br></div><div>Provided abstract:</div></div>Ellipsis of the complement of negation in Hungarian is blocked when a portmanteau negative copula spans across the ellipsis boundary. The portmanteau is shown to be formed post-syntactically, meaning that the contents of ellipsis sites must be post-syntactically accessible, contra recent proposals that ellipsis is purely a syntactic or transfer operation.<div><div><br></div><div><hr></div><div><br></div><div><i>For inquiries regarding the contents of this dataset, please contact the Corresponding Author listed in the README.txt file.
