This poster was presented on 2021 April 8 - 11 at the 39th meeting of the West Coast Conference on Formal Linguistics.

Provided abstract:
This poster presents preliminary data from an analysis of the corpus of the Tunica language, a linguistic isolate of the Lower Mississippi Valley, from documentation between 1886 and 1938. The data focus on language variation in storytelling by analyzing the frequency of different verb inflections. Further analysis hopes to contribute both to the study of language obsolescence, as well as to the current Tunica language revitalization project.
