Plant Trees In Pomona For A Sustainable Future
Nestled in the Southern California, Pomona is home to an estimated 15,691 residents based on the 2019 Census. Pomona was once an agricultural city but has now become industrially dominated by commercial buildings with large parking lots (impervious surfaces). While the city may appear to be full of vegetation, there are many areas with sparse plant coverage.
An environmental analysis was conducted to help understand which areas of the city were lacking vegetation, specifically trees.
