The TOMOPAC2 model is a topologically-closed, global plate tectonic model with an enhanced circum-Pacific plate tectonic history using structurally-restored slabs from mantle seismic tomography as a prioritized constraint. The plate reconstruction is validated using mantle circulation models by reproducing slab structures comparable to those in the input seismic tomography

Associated publication: Chen YW, Wu J, Bunge HP, Stotz I, Robl G, Schuberth BSA (submitted) Tomopac2: an unfolded-slab plate reconstruction validated via mantle circulation models in a closed-loop experiment.
